What Every HR Director and GM Needs to Know after July 1st , 2024
SB 553 Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP)

Every California business, with few exceptions, must comply with SB 553 by the July 1st, 2024, deadline. But July 1st isn’t the finish line—it’s the starting gate of a whole new era of complaints, investigations, reporting requirements, recalculating safety protocols, and training.

Right now, we are at ground zero with this new law, and this workshop will help HR personnel with the completion of their WVPP and help those who are finished by adding preparing for what comes next. General Managers and HR personnel are going to want to know how this new law is going to impact their business and budget while investigating complaints, hazard assessments, post-incident investigations, training and more.

The Presenters:

Ron Pfleger and Josaf Rodriguez are retired police detectives turned professional workplace investigators. They have independent businesses, but provide training together to assist with solutions, templates, and hope regarding the workplace violence prevention act and guidance in navigating the aftermath.
